Directions and Campus Map

The University of St.Gallen (HSG) is easily accessible by train (SBB) as well as by the A1 motorway.
Distances: Zurich 1 hour, Munich 3 hours, Stuttgart 3 hours, Milan 4.5 hours.

By private vehicles

Choose the "St. Gallen/Kreuzbleiche" motorway exit and drive towards the city center. After leaving the tunnel, switch to the left lane and follow the sign towards the university.

By public transportation

From Zurich Main Station and Zurich Airport, there are direct train connections to St.Gallen every half hour. The journey takes about 1 hour. Direct express trains also run from Bern (2 hours), Geneva (4 hours), and Munich (3.5 hours) to St.Gallen. At St.Gallen main station, take bus line 5 towards Rotmonten to the "Universität/Dufourstrasse" stop. Buses run every 10 minutes. Get off at the university bus stop, cross the main road, and follow the signs towards the university. Alternatively, go to the Bahnhof Nord bus stop (back of the station) and take bus number 9 to "Universität/Gatterstrasse". You can find the timetable at: www.sbb.ch.
